Archivist is designed for local-first use. Core archive processing runs on your machine. We do not run ad tracking, telemetry beacons, or cloud analytics for app usage.
For purchases, we receive order metadata (such as email and order identifiers) from Stripe. We do not receive full card details.
The desktop app does not require account login for core local workflows. Core indexing, search, and verification do not require uploading archive content to our servers.
Core app functionality is local-first. Ollama integration communicates with your local Ollama instance on localhost. Website purchase flow uses Stripe.
Third-party services used for business operations include Stripe (payments), GitHub (source/release distribution), and Vercel (website hosting). Their policies apply to their systems.
Purchase records are retained for support, accounting, and legal compliance. You may request deletion of support records where legally permissible.
