Archivist is designed for local-first use. Core archive processing runs on your machine. We do not run ad tracking, telemetry beacons, or cloud analytics for app usage.
For purchases, we collect your email address and name to fulfill your order and deliver your license key. When automated checkout is available, order metadata is processed by Stripe. We do not store full card details.
The desktop app does not require account login for core local workflows. Core indexing, search, and verification do not require uploading archive content to our servers.
Core app functionality is local-first. Ollama integration communicates with your local Ollama instance on localhost. Purchases are currently fulfilled via direct email. Automated checkout via Stripe is planned.
Third-party services used for business operations include Stripe (payments, when automated checkout is active), and Vercel (website hosting). Their policies apply to their systems.
Purchase records are retained for support, accounting, and legal compliance. You may request deletion of support records where legally permissible.
